This subscription provides online access to OECD’s huge International Trade by Commodity Statistics (ITCS) database. The ITCS database is a unique and reliable source of yearly statistical data on imports and exports of OECD countries and selected non-OECD countries, as well as of the OECD main country groupings. It provides detailed data in value (thousands USD) - and in some cases quantity - broken down by partner country (virtually all partner countries are included) and commodity. ITCS contains 5 databases which differ according to the commodity classification used and the length of the time series: SITC Revision 2 (Standard International Trade Classification Revision 2, 1976) - data from 1961 onwards; SITC Revision 3 (Standard International Trade Classification Revision 2, 1986) - data from 1991 onwards; Harmonised System 1988 version - data from 1990 to 2000; Harmonised System, 1996 - data from 1996 onwards; and Total Trade and Trade Conversion Factors - data from 1991 onwards. Generally speaking, long-term analysis going back to the 1960s requires use of SITC data, while analysis at a higher level of detail or on high-tech products can be done better using Harmonised data. .
